FAQ
Frequency can vary based on breed, haircut, and lifestyle. We offer weekly, bi-weekly and monthly schedules. Consult with one of our stylists for a recommended grooming regimen.
A: We recommend bringing your puppy to get groomed at about 16 weeks (4 months) old. It is important to get your puppy groomed as soon as possible so they can learn to love the grooming process. Their first visit focuses on the introduction to grooming which means that minimal trimming is done. Moving objects and sharp tools are not a good combination and want to make sure your puppy is desensitized to the grooming process.
A: Yes, we do have a cancellation policy. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.
Any appointment cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance will result cancellation fee and forfeit of any deposit:
Salon: $45 per pet if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. No call/No show is 100% of the booked service.
Mobile: $75 pet pet if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or 100% of the booked service within 4 hours of your appointment or we arrive at your home.
If you no show/no call for a confirmed appointment you may be terminated from using our services.
A: If you are new client, inactive client (over 12 months since last service), or previously late or no show/no call for an appointment, a deposit to reserve your next appointment will be required. The deposit will be applied towards your pets grooming service. If you can
All deposits are non refundable. Your deposit is transferrable if you give 48 hours notice that you need to reschedule your appointment. If you reschedule or cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will forfeit your deposit and have to give another deposit to reserve your next appointment.
Salon: 100% of the booked service
Mobile: $75
A: Mobile grooming is a luxury service at your doorstep. It is a 100% more convenient and faster than the salon. Your pet gets 1 on 1 attention and zero kennel time. These are the reasons that mobile grooming is higher than the salon.
A: No, our van is a completely self-contained unit. We have both warm fresh water and grey water tanks on board. We have a generator or inverter that provides for all of our electrical needs. The unit is always climate controlled.
A: We accept all breeds but do have weigh limitations. At this time, we accept haircut breeds under 25lbs and smooth short haired breeds under 35lbs.
A: The main factors that play a role in price are coat condition, coat type, style of haircut, and temperament. Coat types (curly, wavy, straight, thin, thick) can vary vastly – and so can the cost. Not every Doodle has the same coat or disposition, therefore, not every Doodle is charged the same price. All quotes are estimates and are subject to change.
A: a matt or tangle is when the coat becomes tangled with dirt, oils, and dead coat. Some matts can be brushed out whereas most have to be clipped off. Brushing out matts or tangles is a painful and time-consuming process for both the pet and stylist. We can promise you that neither enjoy de-matting. We will always choose humanity over vanity. If your pet is coming in matted regularly, we will either clip them short or change their frequency of grooming to ensure they are enjoying their visits with us. The stylists want to spend their time bathing, sculpting, and bonding. To help keep your pup tangle free, we recommend brushing everyday and a monthly grooming appointment.
A: Having your pet regularly groomed and at home maintenance is the best way to prevent matting. Some pets require a bi-weekly or monthly appointment to maintain their coat. If you bathe your pet at home, we recommend to brush before and after the bath. Here are the 3 things you can do to prevent matting:
- Brush your pet daily for 10 minutes.
- Bi-weekly or monthly grooming.
- Choose a shorter length that is easier to maintain.
